Day 30 - 36

This past week has been nothing but a whirlwind, with the BIG move, parents being up here helping, helping put together an engagement party for a wonderful couple, and finally having my matron of honor back in the good USA!!!  It was great catching up with Susan this past Friday and the best part was meeting her precious new baby, Allison!! We also went on the hunt for wedding dresses and had fun along the way!  I must say though, I think I have "the one" and I cannot wait to start the process of purchasing it!
We also had a great meeting with Greg on Sunday, meetings with possible vendors, and getting our decor together.  We met a great woman who makes beautiful cakes, a young lady who had beautiful stationary, and a nice photographer.  We were also able to show Anthony more what we had in mind for the decor and I think it is all finally coming together.  One of the best things about Greg is that he took Anthony to go look at the reception site and took with him vases, chairs and other things to help show him how things will work and what other options we can have.  It feels great not going in completely blind and seeing what we are getting ourselves into!!  I must say though, I am LOVING the flower decor and I cannot wait to see it all on the "day of".  Also, who would of thought of all these little things, like picking out what kind of chair you want??  Thank goodness for Greg!   Until next time, have a great week!!  =)

Day 26 - 29

MOVING WEEKEND/WEEK
Apparently they say that three of the most stressful things in life are: moving, wedding day, and losing someone you love.  This past weekend we moved into our fabulous new place and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!  I am so happy to be so close to the greenbelt and the Barton Creek Mall  =)  I must say, we have a great view and everyone at the complex seem real nice!
Also thank goodness for movers, since it decided to POUR and thunderstorm on us.  Other than that the move overall went smooth.
As for the wedding plans go, I went this past weekend to the San Antonio Bridal Expo and was disappointed overall.  The best part of it was that my bridesmaid Sonya was able to go with me and it was great seeing her and catching up  =)  I must say that I do have the BEST bridesmaids a girl could ask for  =)

Day Nineteen - Day Twenty-three

This weekend was an interesting weekend full of family and friends.  I also have started my search for the perfect wedding dress and I know I have found one pretty close and still looking.  I also cannot wait to show my Matron of Honor, Susan, all the possibilities!!!
Also recently a good friend of ours, Morgan, introduced us to her roommate and best friend, Sarah, who works for Soiree Events/Rare Magazine.  We owe her a huge, "Thank You"!!  Recently through their company we won a one hour couple session with Studio 563, and we will be having an engagement photo soon  =)  I have looked at their site and their amazing photos look amazing and I am real excited!!  Check out their site - click here.

Day Eighteen

This post today will not so much be about wedding stuff, but just a quick update about my puppies..  It seemed that we had a scare recently that our little one, Beckham, was having some liver problems.  He had major surgery so they could take a biopsy of his liver and is still in the recovering stages.  I am pleased to say though, that the test results came back, and he is as healthy as can be!!  The doctors did not find anything worth alarm and say that he should live a long, and active life!!  I cannot tell you how relieved we are and happy to know our puppies are healthy and happy!  =)  Here are some cute pictures of him and Ariel Marie, pre and post surgery.

Day Sixteen - Day Seventeen

Since getting engaged, I have decided to try and lose weight.  i am determined to get in shape and lose some weight!!!  I have started up running again and trying to eat better.  I am determined to look like an awesome Bride!!
One thing that has been a great tool in helping me is my iPod Nano and my nike+.  This device is great and I think everyone who loves to run or even get into running should get this!!  I love having it keep track of how far I go, my personal best times, how long I run and how many calories I loose. I simply do love my nike+!!!  Also if anyone else has some pointers on how to lose weight let me know.  =)

Day Thirteen - Day Fifteen

One thing I have learned about weddings, is that you have to get creative.  You have to dig deep down in yourself to search out exactly how this big day is going to define your fiance and you.  Let me be the first to say that can be hard to do if you really have no idea exactly how to express that through, flowers, decor, and the new one for me a "monogram".  I like this idea of having a monogram, so we can put it throughout the little things, like the menus, programs, etc... but actually designing one is way out of my league.  Therefore, I have tried looking on the internet and talk about being overwhelmed.  I will post some pictures of ones I liked but I am still looking.  If anyone has ideas please let me know.
Also on Sunday we had the pleasure of going to the Austin Bridal Expo with another engaged couple!  Amy and Joe will also be getting married next year and it was a pleasure hearing their ideas and looking for new ones; thus we all walked around the Palmer Event Center looking for photographers, florists, etc....  It was a great event and I had fun (also the mimosas helped take the edge off)  =) !!  Sadly to report, we did not win any prizes, but we saw potential in some vendors.  Until next time, have a great week everyone!

Day Twelve

Just a short blog today to because recently Anthony and I went to an event called Rarest of Them All here in Austin.  it was a lot of fun and went with our good friends Morgan and Jason.  At this event they had the best of Austin, including great food and music!!  Also there was a great photographer there named Annie Ray and her photos were unique. I have included them in this blog of us and our friends that were there.  Also this weekend we will be attending the Austin Bridal Expo, in hope to find some great ideas and maybe find some great vendors.  Hope everyone has a great weekend. =)

Day Nine - Day Ten

Yesterday I was able to go visit San Antonio and look at some more possible reception venues and revisiting the ones we really liked.  I also got time to spend with my fabulous wedding planner Greg and my sis Evelyn.  We talked a lot about ideas and saw some great venues.  I do honestly think we are leaning more towards a hotel on the Riverwalk.  I just love the feel of San Antonio on the Riverwalk and all the beautiful backgrounds.  I have a feeling we will be making a decision soon for the reception venue =)

Day Eight

Today I have decided to share our engagement story with you all.  =)  On May 7, 2008 Anthony asked me to go out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary.  I was very excited because we decided on an Italian Restaurant I had never been to before (Asti), and the food there was amazing!  After a romantic meal, we came back home and I went about turning in for the night, when I noticed after he took the dogs out, that he was not getting comfortable.  I finally noticed that our first puppy, Ariel Marie, had something on her collar.  I picked her and saw that there was a Tiffany Blue Ribbon and on it was a HUGE Pink Heart-shaped ring.  I looked up and there was Anthony in front of me on one knee!  He started saying how much he loved me and all these amazing things that meant so much to me.  When he finally said, " Will you marry me" I was ready to say yes when I saw the ring!!  Then after all the crying, he went on to say that the ring was not real and not the one, that he would like for me to go to Tiffany's and chose the ring of my dreams!!  Needless to say that was a night to remember and now begins our new journey to our wedding day.  My ring turned out to be AMAZING and I got it about three weeks after he proposed and I cannot stop looking at it!!  I feel like all my dreams are coming true, and we are truly blessed to have found each other.

Day Four -Day Seven

July 25, 2009
Well it is official my dear friends that our wedding day will be on July 25, 2009!!!  We have booked the church and now are just looking for a reception venue.  I will be meeting with Greg on Wednesday to discuss options and packages.  I am real excited to see what he suggests.  Here are some examples of places we like so far: Grand Hyatt Hotel in Downtown San Antonio, Westin Riverwalk, Hotel Contessa, and Club at Sonterra.  All these choices to make!!!  I just want everything to be a reflection of our love and us as a couple.  Of course there is also the most important factor of we want to have FUN!!!  And on a side note, I am going to go see Sex and The City Movie tonight and I am super excited!!!
